Last week the report “Biotechnology Trend Analysis 2023” from the Health Council (GR) and the Committee on Genetic Modification (COGEM) was published. 

Developments in biotechnology are moving at lightning speed. The promises are great: biotechnology can make an important contribution to achieving the sustainable development goals in the areas of a circular economy, health and making food production more sustainable.

This Biotechnology Trend Analysis 2023 highlights the most important developments, specifically focusing on three areas, namely circular economy, food production and health.
