Also in the PR electronics program is the 4179 Universal AC/DC transmitter.
This makes it possible to convert AC currents and voltages with a frequency of 40 – 400Hz to a standard process measured value. With the 4179 it is possible to connect directly to the 0 – 5AAC or 0-300VAC input. Of course, the 4179 is also suitable for measuring larger currents in combination with a current transformer.
Like the other types from the successful 4000 series, the 4179 is programmable with the removable front display 4501. Optionally, the measured value can be converted to a Modbus-RTU signal by using the type 4511 front display.

- Direct measurement of 0…5A RMS and 0…300V RMS, f = 40…400Hz
- Minimum span adjustable from 500mA and 500mV RMS
- Universal supply voltage: 21.6…253VAC / 19.2…300VDC
- 3-way galvanic isolation of 2.3kVAC
- Output signal adjustable as (±)mA and (±)V
- Direct reading of the measured value on the programming display 4501
- 2-point process calibration possible using programming display 4501
