Access control often takes place with RFID or barcodes. Barcodes and QR codes are used more often for temporary registration, both printed and on smart phones. Idtronic has developed the ID IDENT 1000 for both applications. This scanning unit combines HF RFID technology with 1D and 2D barcode. The unit can be supplied with a Wiegand 16/34, RS485, RS232 or (mini) USB connection, TCP/IP is also optionally possible.
The unit's functions can be adjusted using simple setup software, such as IP settings, HID settings, card number format and any line feed.
Due to the small installation dimensions of 7.1 × 7.1 × 3.4 cm, the unit can be used for many applications. The screen has tempered glass.
The ID IDENT 1000 uses internal lighting when scanning barcodes, so an external light source is not required. The status of the scanning is displayed with a red and green LED.
