From Smart Commissioning to Smart Maintenance
LBC Tank Terminals Group is currently focusing on expanding their Rotterdam location in the Botlek area of Rotterdam. The aim of the project, known as 'Rainbow', is to triple the current capacity and become the safest and most efficient terminal in the Port of Rotterdam. In the joint presentation from LBC Tank Terminals Group and Endress+Hauser, the speakers will discuss making installations smarter.
LBC is building a new Tank Terminal. Sixteen brand new stainless steel, heated and insulated chemical storage tanks with a capacity of 36,000 cbm will be installed with all necessary measuring instrumentation and a new process automation system. In addition, optimal use is made of digitalization to translate it into smart work processes with the aim of achieving a condition-based and predictive maintenance strategy.
André Leeuwis – Regional EI&A Manager of LBC presents opportunities and possibilities to achieve smart and effective work processes for the commissioning and start-up of the new Tank Terminal. He also discusses the challenges they overcame in this process.
Jaap Westeneng from Endress+Hauser will then present next steps to achieve a condition-based and predictive maintenance strategy for the LBC smart Tank Terminal.
