VEGAMET: Controller with display for clear process control
Industrial processes in the water and wastewater industry or in the building materials industry can be displayed excellently with large displays and traffic light warning systems. These help to quickly understand even complex processes and to maintain an overview.
Reinforcement is ready – With a new generation of controllers from VEGA, level and pressure measurement is now even easier and clearer. The VEGAMET series are designed for best visibility and immediate use.
“Whether the devices are to be installed in the control cabinet, on the control panel or directly in the field, we offer the right model,” explains VEGA product manager Ralf Höll. With the high-contrast display, all options for a clear visualization of measurement data are available. The very large display diagonal in relation to the small design ensures a reliable overview – even from a distance and in bright daylight. The option of operating the controller via Bluetooth from a smartphone or tablet provides even more independence. This makes it easy to parameterize devices remotely and monitor measured values outside of potentially explosive areas.
The tasks for controllers have changed considerably in recent years. The three possible housing versions accommodate performances that correspond to these. In addition to the acquisition, visualization and storage of data, the devices must now provide measured values and historical data anytime and anywhere. With their wide range of functions, the VEGAMET series 140, 340 and 800 are also suitable for complex tasks such as pump control, flow measurement, totalizers, data loggers or calculations of differential, total and average values.
With the graphical application assistant on a smartphone/tablet, the large number of different functions can be set very easily and quickly. “Simplicity and noticeable efficiency are our top priorities. It starts with installation, connection and commissioning and continues through to use,” adds Ralf Höll.
Although each customer project requires an individual solution, the required accessories are often the same. It is the details that make an application truly comfortable. Outdoors, a special sunshade on the VEGAMET 800 instruments ensures reliable readability in direct sunlight. To protect the device from vandalism and prying eyes, the display can be switched off automatically after two minutes if necessary.
