Many activities are planned for 2019. In the first quarter the Microbiology & Data Science Workshop, LabAutomation 2019 and the meetings around the statistical groups take place. These meetings are already largely in progress, but we are also busy setting up the other activities for 2019. Your contribution or input is more than welcome.

The biennial LabSafety event is scheduled for May 21. Safety in the lab is an important topic that we pay attention to every year. Are you interested in participating in the event or do you have a relevant speaker in mind? Please contact Rachel van den Tweel via rachel@fhi.nl.

The member meeting on E-procurement, which was canceled in 2018, is planned for Q2. We are currently busy putting the program into practice. The Laboratory Technology for Dummies workshop will also be held twice in 2019. As soon as the exact dates are known, you will find them on the website.

After the summer holidays we expect to plan two diagnostics workshops, namely in the field of pathology (in collaboration with the VAP) and clinical chemistry. Furthermore, a new Calibration & Quality workshop is being developed.

LabAnalyse 2019 will take place at the beginning of November. During the brainstorming session with former participants, it was decided to organize an event with a broad approach, focused on (petro)chemicals and food & feed. Registration for this will open in early February.

Your participation and involvement in all activities is highly appreciated.
