Progress of the National Aids Consortium (LCH)
The National Aids Consortium (LCH) was established at the time of the Covid-19 crisis to meet the additional need for personal protective equipment and care aids as a result of the virus.
The LCH remains active as an emergency line. If the regular channels cannot meet the need, healthcare providers can still contact the LCH for any (additional) need for personal protective equipment and aids. The basic principle remains that healthcare providers continue to purchase the necessary personal protective equipment and aids through their regular suppliers as much as possible.
The LCH will deliver personal protective equipment and aids in accordance with the distribution model, taking into account the available stocks. In concrete terms, this means that the application, which is assessed based on the size, type of institution and established standard consumption, is delivered for a maximum standard consumption of 10 days per week.
Sufficient for a possible second wave
The LCH has now purchased sufficient personal protective equipment and aids to meet the healthcare needs in the event of a possible second wave and will continue to ensure the supply of necessary products where necessary. Healthcare providers will continue to be able to contact the ordering portals for their additional needs.
Hospitals, ambulance services, personal protective equipment coordinators in the ROAZ regions, labs, GGDs and independent clinics can submit an application via the OneMed/QRS portal: https://corona.qrs.nl/login
All institutions in long-term care, nursing or care homes, care for the disabled, home care, mental health institutions, general practitioners, dentists, physiotherapists, and other care providers can submit a request via the Mediq portal; https://medbis.nl.
Next phase
In the coming period, parties from both healthcare and the market will investigate how to jointly arrive at a sustainable solution in terms of guaranteeing the availability of the necessary personal protective equipment and aids.
