Elma Electronics introduces the Liquid Flow Through (LFT) VITA 48.4 modular test and development chassis, enabling rapid prototyping and testing for up to six 6U OpenVPX plug-in boards rated at 200W or more.
The platform provides thermal management for safely testing modern high-power embedded systems. Typical applications include aerospace and defense, such as sensor payloads, electronic warfare, C5ISR, navigation, and target tracking.
The high-performance backplane ensures reliable power and signal distribution across all slots, while data rates of up to 10 Gbps support processing high-throughput applications. The open-frame design with rear transition I/O facilitates rapid configuration and debugging.
The chassis features an internal 1400 W power supply and a VITA 46.11 chassis manager for voltage and temperature monitoring. Integrated liquid cooling makes the system suitable for operational test environments where an external cooler or chiller is still required.
