Digital meeting on Wednesday, September 2, 1:30 PM – 3:15 PM (for FHI members)

Contents working group/cluster meeting Wednesday September 2:

In 2040, all Dutch people will live at least five years longer in good health and the health differences between the lowest and highest socio-economic groups will have decreased by 30%. This is the central mission of the social theme of health and care included in the Knowledge and Innovation Agenda (KIA) 2020-2023.

In the new transition surrounding healthcare and its internationalization, we will increasingly move towards targeted and actual healing (cure) instead of symptom management (care), personalized medication is part of this.

hDMT organ-on-a-chip consortium creates organ-on-chip models applicable to a wide range of human-specific diseases, with genetic and/or immunological connections, leading to personalized medicine. Collaboration between different parties is essential to bring these models to the market. Components play an important role in, among other things, the standardization of these microfluidic chips.

During the cluster meeting 'components' which will be held online on Wednesday September 2, 2020, shall Dr. Janny van den Eijnden-van Raaij, Managing director hDMT (Institute for human organ and disease model technologies; Dutch Organ-on-Chip Consortium) take you into the developments of Organ-on-Chip technology.

During the first working group/cluster meeting on components, we will discuss the issues: what is organ-on-chip technology? Which new technologies within organ-on-chip technology will come onto the market? How can we achieve this cooperation between the different parties? What contribution can you make to these developments?

In addition, we will delve deeper into other important issues within the components market through an interactive quiz and discussion. There is also room to raise your issues and discuss them with fellow professionals.

During the first consultation, the mission and vision of this working group/cluster meetings are determined. Register now to participate in the digital meeting on Wednesday, September 2 from 1:30 PM to 3:15 PM.
