The winners of the World of Technology & Science's TechAward 2022 have been announced. During a festive ceremony on September 29, five technology companies received the prestigious awards. The professional jury and visitors to the website chose four nominees per world. Ultimately, the fair's visitors chose one winner per world. In addition to the TechAwards, the Green TechAward was awarded for the first time this year to the company that submitted the most sustainable product.
Winner World of Automation: FOCUS 1 (Krohne & Samson)
FOCUS-ON, a subsidiary of Krohne & Samson, received the TechAward for the FOCUS-1: the first intelligent process node specifically developed for industry 4.0. The multifunctional SMART flow control instrument combines sensors, actuator and control functionality in one device.
Winner World of Electronics: Solhyd Hydrogen Panels (Comate)
The Solhyd hydrogen panels by Comate, a co-creation with KU Leuven, are often in the news. And that is not surprising, because hydrogen is seen by many as the energy source of the future. The hydrogen panel captures moisture from the air and uses energy from the sun to split water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen.
Winner World of Laboratory: SpillGuard (DENIOS)
SpillGuard connect is a unique leak detection system. If dangerous liquids escape unnoticed, this can have serious consequences for people and the environment in a very short time. Developed to respond quickly and adequately DENIOS a leak detection system that is completely self-sufficient.
Winner World of Motion & Drives: Helpsoq (Zilvertron)
The HelpSoq by Silvertron is the first aid that offers a solution when putting on support stockings. An electric motor takes over the heavy work of nurses. The electric motor rolls the support stocking onto a smooth plastic ring and after rolling up the stocking the user can easily remove the ring from the device.
Winner GraTech Award: the new ClimeEvent (Weiss Technik)
This year, for the first time, the GreenTech Award was presented to the company that could demonstrate that their innovation makes a positive contribution to sustainability. Weiss Technik Netherlands impressed the jury with the new ClimeEvent with absolute humidity control and WT69 (R469A), the successor to the successful ClimeEvent.
Marketing Communications Cup
Traditionally, three Marketing Communication Cups are awarded during the WoTS to exhibitors who have attracted the most visitors. The third prize this year went to EPLAN, the second prize to Eurocircuits and Elincom Electronics emerged as the winner. All three companies will receive a discount on the stand price for WoTS 2024.
