Bacharach's MGS-550 gas leak detector combines electrochemical, semiconductor, catalytic and infrared sensors in one platform to enable leak detection.
This applies to both the new # refrigerant gases, with low GWP (Global Warming Potential) and the natural refrigerants.
The detectors are suitable for use in the often harsh conditions in the machine rooms of industrial refrigeration.
The MGS-550 can be easily integrated into any building management system (BMS). The Modbus RTU interface allows the user to program and configure the unit remotely via the BMS.
Remote access gives full user control when using #Modbus. Of course, current or volt analogue output is also possible for industrial readout. (4-20mA)
The 3 standard integrated relays in each instrument reduce the need for alarm devices and therefore also limit the wiring to and from a central control system.
Due to the integrated relays, the #Bacharach MGS-550 can be used as a stand-alone controller.
Each relay can be individually programmed to activate alarm devices and actions separately or as a redundant system.
The simple menu structure is identical regardless of the type of sensors used, reducing the cost and amount of time for training installation or during maintenance. Bacharach's MGS-550 offers the flexibility to add a second sensor at any time without the need for additional controllers. Each sensor can be mounted remotely from the main instrument up to a distance of 5 meters.
The MGS-550 meets the requirements of EN 378 and ASHRAE 15.
