Meet the Expert abstracts
1. SPE/APL
Endress & Hauser/Pepperl+Fuchs
Step effortlessly into the future of industrial automation with APL, the APL switch from Pepperl+Fuchs, and industry-leading instrumentation from Endress+Hauser.
In this interactive demonstration, we'll take you on a journey through the simplicity and speed of commissioning field instruments within an Ethernet APL network. You'll experience how a reliable connection can be established in just a few steps.
Whether you are an experienced technician or just starting the digital transformation within the process industry, this demonstration shows how the combination of Pepperl+Fuchs, Endress+Hauser, and APL lowers the barrier to entry and paves the way for an efficient, future-proof installation.
2. PROFINET & Security
Phoenix Contact
Cybersecurity has a significant impact on your network and organization, as it means new protocols, additional hardware, and so on. Bert van der Linden visualizes and demonstrates the impact of IEC 62443 security levels SL1, SL2, and SL3 on your network and the possibilities they offer. All of this, of course, is in line with the PROFINET Security Guidelines.
3. Discover and experience PROFINET cabling
Helukabel
Curious about what PROFINET cabling looks like in practice? During this session, you can get hands-on with the different cable types and connectors. Click open connectors, examine a stripped cable section, and discover how the conductors are constructed. A clear diagram also shows the different levels within an organization and the corresponding cable types.
No presentation, but an opportunity to experience it for yourself, ask questions, and discuss your specific challenges. Whether you want to learn more about choosing the right cable, practical applications, or common problems, our experts are ready to brainstorm with you and help you further.
4. SRCI: Integration and Programming of Robots via the PLC
Siemens
SRCI (Standard Robot Command Interface), an approach that moves the complete integration and programming of robot applications to the PLC. In addition to common PLC functionalities such as work cell control and safety, SRCI adds the ability to control robot motions and provides an interface for robot programming.
The goal of SRCI is to streamline robot integration by providing a uniform method. For companies familiar with PLC programming, SRCI enables them to integrate various robot types, reducing dependence on specific robot brands and their programming environments. We discuss the technical aspects and practical implications of this standardization for industrial automation.
5. Live demo of omlox and the power of UWB
SynchronicIT
Omlox is the leading open standard for localization and spatial awareness applications. This standard enables the uniform recording of location data from goods, mobile equipment, people, and vehicles—such as AGVs—and makes it available through a single, standardized interface. During this demo, we will present a powerful combination of technologies: the omlox core zone, realized with SynchronicIT's UWB satellites and tags, and Flowcate's Deephub localization middleware as the omlox hub. Together, they demonstrate not only the accuracy of Ultra-Wideband (UWB) as a measurement method but also how easily and effectively localization can be deployed for process monitoring and automation of anything not directly connected to a machine.
6. Discover in 20 minutes how to optimally manage your PROFINET network according to the PI guidelines
Helmholz Benelux
Experience how best practices like measuring points in your system, analyzing alarms, and using SNMP can help you detect and resolve faults faster. We'll demonstrate live how to prevent downtime and future-proof your network. Practical and immediately applicable.
