Location technology plays an increasingly important role in modern industrial and logistics processes. But with the growth of various technologies and suppliers, there is also a need for
standardization and interoperability. Omlox offers exactly that: an open and technology-independent standard for real-time location determination within industrial environments.

In this presentation we provide a concise but complete overview of what Omlox contains as standard. We will discuss the various components of the standard:

  • The omlox core zone, with the standardized air interface for Ultra-Wideband (UWB) systems, which allows tags and infrastructure from different vendors to work together.
  • The role of the omlox hub as central middleware for location data. This has a standardized interface, which allows, in addition to the omlox core zone, complementary location technologies (GPS, BLE, Wi-Fi, RFID, etc.)
can be integrated. The location data and events (geofences, geogates) are made available to higher-level applications in a uniform manner, regardless of the underlying technology, whether it overlaps or not.

Whether it's tracking vehicles, tools, or people: Omlox enables flexible and scalable use of location data, regardless of the technology or vendor used.
