The process industry is slowly realizing that the traditional manual way of working is holding us back. We must embrace digitalization to remain competitive.
It doesn't really matter which manufacturer you work with or whether it's about safety or not, but what matters is that you start using the digitalization tools already available (step by step). Some tools have been around for over 30 years, but are often still unknown.
Automating/digitizing verification/validation tasks, among other things, is not only important for saving time, but will also contribute to greater availability and security.

Started as an instrumentation technician. Later, E&I coordinator for ammonia plants, E&I engineer for turnarounds, and since 2009, Safety Instrument Systems (SIS) Engineer. Responsible for all instrument process safety systems at Yara Sluiskil, including hardware and software, SCADA, and networks.
