Modularization is revolutionizing the process industry by offering significant benefits, especially through the integration of packaged units using Module Type Packages (MTP). This approach is already widespread in sectors such as pharmaceutical, biotech and food, and is increasingly gaining ground in traditional chemical production.
The so-called Module Type Package (MTP) describes the functions of the process modules independently of the manufacturer. Because it can be obtained from the automation technology of a module, module manufacturers can easily generate. Operators in turn can easily use the module functions by importing the MTPs to a higher automation level.
