SMART BUILDING SPECIALIST
As a specialist in building automation, Barcol-Air is responsible not only for designing, manufacturing, installing, testing, and commissioning, but also for integrating all other products and systems that comprise the overall climate control system into a single system. This includes controls for air handling units, chillers, and heat pumps, as well as the integration of lighting and sun/light shading at the room level.

We closely monitor all developments in Smart Building technology and integration. To this end, we maintain contacts with leading suppliers, manufacturers, and educational institutions worldwide. We are also members of various (inter)national industry associations and attend relevant trade fairs, events, and conferences. By regularly visiting completed projects, we receive practical feedback, which we incorporate into the (continued) development of our solutions.

THE BEGINNING: THE EDGE AMSTERDAM
After years of developing knowledge of Smart Building technology, we realized the world's first true Smart Building in 2014 with The Edge office building in Amsterdam. Based on the initial design, the design has been continuously improved and optimized over the past 10 years, incorporating the latest technology and customer needs.
