At this seminar, Epic Power will take you inside the world of Redox Flow Battery Systems, an emerging technology attracting attention for large-scale energy storage and grid stabilization. While not yet widely deployed commercially, redox flow batteries provide unique advantages, including scalable energy capacity, long cycle life, and deep discharge capability. A key challenge in these systems is aligning battery voltages with standard DC buses. Typical series string voltages in redox flow batteries range from 40 to 100V dc, while industrial DC buses often operate at much higher levels—depending on the application—ranging from 600 to 1000Vdc. In this session, we will demonstrate how a specially developed DC-DC converter bridges this voltage gap efficiently, enabling seamless integration into existing energy networks and industrial applications. This seminar is designed for engineers, designers, and technical professionals seeking to understand how redox flow systems can be effectively deployed in practice, both from an architectural perspective and in terms of electrical integration.
