10:30 – 10:55

In this lecture, you'll experience how to create an EMC seal between two housing components without compromising moisture and saltwater resistance or mechanical reliability. We'll explore conductive elastomer solutions that combine EMI shielding with IP sealing. Aspects such as maximum attenuation across frequency ranges, as well as corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, resilience over time, and performance at low closing forces, will be addressed. In addition to custom-made seals, we also offer form-in-place (FIP) seals, which can be applied to complex shapes as a flexible sealant for seamless EMC sealing.

Using insightful graphs and tables, we demonstrate how each type of sealing material performs in terms of sealing capacity, EMC effectiveness, temperature range, and corrosion resistance. Supported by concrete examples from the maritime and electronics sectors, this session helps technical professionals select the right EMC sealing solutions—essential for long-term, reliable, and sustainable system designs.
