Vision technology is a vital link in the growing automation landscape within Industry and Robotics. In this presentation, we explore two main approaches to implementing vision in automation solutions. On the one hand, there are smart cameras: compact, intelligent systems that can be deployed quickly and, thanks to integrated software, immediately contribute to more efficient production processes or robot-controlled tasks. On the other hand, there's the option of combining industrial cameras, such as area scan, line scan, or stereo cameras, with proprietary software. This approach requires more specialized expertise but offers maximum flexibility and enables customization for applications such as advanced quality control or precise object recognition in robotics. By comparing both approaches, you'll gain insight into the ways in which vision technology accelerates industrial automation.
