Mechanical Engineer (32 – 40 hours)

Who are we looking for?

As a Mechanical Engineer at Tradinco Instruments, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing our advanced measurement and calibration equipment. You will work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to design and implement innovative solutions that meet user needs and the highest quality and performance standards.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

  • The conception, analysis, design and improvement of products and processes
  • Design and development of mechanical components and systems for measuring and calibration equipment.
  • Performing technical analyses and calculations to ensure the functionality and reliability of designs.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as electronics and software development, to create integrated products.
  • Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, including specifications, drawings and test protocols.
  • Supervising prototype construction and conducting tests to verify the performance of designs.
  • Supporting production processes and ensuring a smooth transition from design to production.
  • Identify and implement improvements in existing products and processes to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technological developments and trends in the mechanical engineering and measuring instruments industry.

Desired skills and experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a similar engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role within mechanical engineering, preferably in the measuring instruments or calibration industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design processes, materials and production methods.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software (preferably Autocad & Inventor or a similar package).
  • Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment with customers and liaise with suppliers both domestically and internationally.
  • Proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and take responsibility for projects.

The team

The engineering team currently consists of three people. You will work under the leadership of Remco and you will collaborate a lot with other colleagues both inside and outside the engineering team.
