Support Engineer Technical Sales - Embedded Computing

Alcom has been a distributor and agent of electronic components, embedded modules and solutions for industrial automation for over 40 years. Alcom focuses on Dutch customers in electronics, industrial electronics, lighting, automation and electrical engineering where innovation is paramount. Our customers are end users who develop and produce products.

Who are we looking for?
You are the expert who will provide tailor-made solutions and advice to our customers and your colleagues.
Some tasks and responsibilities:
- You are the technical point of contact when our customers have a question about our products.
- Is something not working properly? Then you know how to find out what is wrong and you know how to fix it.
- Provide computers with a new OS, perform firmware updates on computers, HMIs and touch displays.
- You are involved in new applications of our customers

What are you bringing?
- A completed MBO diploma (level 3 or 4)
- Basic substantive knowledge of computers
- You are eager to learn, result and solution oriented and aim for the best result.
- You have strong communication skills and find customer and service orientation very natural. - You can plan and organize your own work well.
- Working accurately is important and it is nice if you are proactive and self-reliant.

What do we offer?
- A good salary between €3,000 and €4,500 per month (depending on your experience).
- 27 days off with 13 ATV days.
- Fully paid pension.

- A one-year contract with the prospect of permanent employment if you perform well.
