Mechanical Lead Engineer
Within the Oss branch there is room for an experienced mechanical engineer who, in addition to a technical substantive role and customer contact, also finds the challenge in managing a group of young, enthusiastic engineers.
What are you going to do?
- Based on your experience as a constructor, you devise mechanical solutions within various engineering projects
- You have customer contact, are closely involved in the quotation process, are responsible for planning the work as well as cost monitoring and project-oriented and technical correspondence with the customer
- You supervise a group of young engineers and are a source of information and, together with the project team, you monitor the application of working methods, regulations and the quality of the work delivered.
- You have frequent contact with other disciplines within VIRO
- With your proactive attitude you take advantage of opportunities to further develop yourself and, together with our professional team, build on further growth of the department
Requirements
- A completed higher professional or university education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
- Extensive experience as an engineer in a project-based environment and preferably some experience in a lead role
- Knowledge of 3D CAD software (such as NX, SolidWorks, Creo or Inventor)
- Knowledge of budgeting techniques, cost control, planning and progress techniques
- Good at solving mechanical issues without losing sight of functionality, reliability, safety and cost aspects
- Interested in following relevant training and courses
- You are proactive, enterprising and like to think about how things can be improved
- You communicate easily with customers and colleagues, also in English
