Operational Buyer

Are you ready for a new challenge and would you like to develop yourself further as a buyer? We give you the opportunity to take the next step in your career within a dynamic and informal environment where you are challenged to grow, together with us.

The function

Our Category Buyer will teach you the tricks of the trade and introduce you to our network. Your positive critical attitude and inquisitive nature will not only teach you new things, but will also keep your colleagues on their toes.

Due to the pleasant and informal atmosphere, you will quickly find your place within the company as a new employee. As an operational buyer, you will be active 50% of the time with activities at operational level. The other 50% of the time you will work with our experienced Category Buyer, so that you can function as his backup in the future.

Every morning you start the day, together with your colleagues, with a (digital) meeting. After this you start performing the tasks at operational level. In the afternoon you mainly work with the Category Buyer. You are an active participant in the meetings with your project group and ask critical questions. In these project groups you work closely with colleagues from engineering and sales.

Your duties also include:

  • You take care of all the needs of the production process for purchasing. You are also partly responsible for achieving the purchasing objectives.
  • Providing system data for the purchasing process.
  • Maintaining the master data of own suppliers.
  • You are responsible for the timely acquisition of the necessary components, raw materials and outsourced work for production.
  • Contact with suppliers and clients.
  • In short, you are the 'intelligent chip' that connects all kinds of functions!

Your strength

  • You have an HBO working and/or thinking level.
  • Preferably you have 1 to 2 years of experience as an operational buyer, but we are also open to you if you want to start your career with us.
  • You have a confident personality and an enthusiastic and eager to learn character.
  • You are not afraid to speak and write English regularly.
  • You have a flexible attitude and you want to continue investing in yourself.
  • If you have a bit of a feel for technology, that's a bonus.
