Test Development Engineer


What are you going to do?
As a Test Development Engineer, you work closely with clients to perfect the design of printed circuit board assemblies (pcba's). From the earliest design stage, you help clients to achieve the highest quality, optimal testability, manufacturability, delivery flexibility and minimal costs. With your knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and Design for Testing (DfT), you maximize the manufacturability, test accessibility and test coverage of the pcba design together with the designer. You advise clients on the best test strategy and guarantee the best delivery quality.
The work:
- Developing advanced test hardware and software in collaboration with clients;
- Assessing and advising on electronic design for manufacturability and testability;
- Ensuring timely and correct feedback of comments to designers at clients;
- Creating test procedures and test specifications and adapting tests in the event of changes;
- Collaborate with test employees at the head office in Dirksland;
- Troubleshooting developed tests in production and supporting test employees in Dirksland.
With your expertise in DfM and DfT you make the difference and ensure the best delivery quality for our clients.
Your profile
Are you enthusiastic after reading the vacancy, do you fit the profile outlined and do you meet the following requirements:
- Preferably several years of experience in developing tests;
- Master of Science (MSc) in Applied Engineering, option Electronics;
- Sound knowledge of measuring equipment, analogue and digital electronics (knowledge of boundary scan and ICT testing is desirable)
- Knowledge of and experience with Labview, C/C++ is a requirement;
- Knowledge of the following skills is an advantage: JTAG, VHDL, NI Teststand, SQL, test fixtures (bed of nails tester).
- Being able to think along with electronics developers;
- In addition to a good command of the Dutch language, also of (technical) English;
- good communication and social skills (both oral and written)
- Business and customer-oriented, enterprising, stress-resistant, integral and analytical thinking, pragmatic and collaborative.
