PLCDirect Benelux started its activities in 1994 as a representative of the USA-based “PLCDirect by Koyo”. “PLCDirect "by Koyo" was founded in 1993 by the Japanese Koyo Electronics Co., Ltd. with the aim of establishing Koyo as a PLC manufacturer in the Western world. Until then, Koyo Electronics had exclusively developed and manufactured PLCs for third parties such as GE Fanuc, Texas Instruments, and Siemens. Over time, other products were added to the product range, such as operator interfaces, sensors, and the like. Because it was felt that the name "PLCDirect by Koyo” no longer covered the load, the name was changed to “Automationdirect.com” in 1999. PLCDirect Benelux has always been completely independent (and remains so) and has retained its original name. The requirements that American users place on products sometimes differ from those in Europe. That's why PLCDirect Benelux is always looking for manufacturers who deliver products that offer the optimal balance between specifications and price.
