Sustainability & circularity in the process industry
September 26, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Thomson Seminar Room in World of Industry (Hall 8)
At a time when sustainability and efficiency are taking center stage in the global industrial landscape, energy optimization has become a crucial focus for companies. Energy not only represents a significant operational cost for industrial facilities, but also has significant environmental implications. Therefore, maximizing energy efficiency and reducing waste has become a strategic priority for modern industries.

Electrification in the process industry
During the seminar Sustainability & Circularity in the process industry Perry Verberne, director at Van Beek, takes the stage to introduce their latest addition to the field of thermal screw transport.
Speaker: Perry Verberne, Van Beek screw conveyor systems
Reducing the CO2 footprint, measurement efficiency is the basis
Reduction of the CO2 footprint, measuring efficiency is the basis. Within the industry we all have to deal with it, reducing CO2 emissions. Companies must make it clear how they comply with these European guidelines.
Liquid and gas flows are part of a company's energy management. To demonstrate that the measurements of these process flows perform within the accuracy limits, the Measuring Instruments Directive (MID) was drawn up. This is a European directive that applies to measuring equipment for commercial transactions and levies.
The guidelines are explained in more detail in this presentation. And various possibilities are discussed using practical examples

Auto-line Self-Cleaning Liquid Filters in Industrial and Hygienic Design: Maximizing Energy Efficiency, Reducing Waste, more Cost Efficient
The processing industry faces continuous pressure to optimize production processes. Achieving higher output, improving safety standards, and increasing cost efficiency within existing facilities are ongoing challenges. The industry seeks advanced, engineered solutions that contribute to safer and more efficient food production.
At HiFlux Filtration, we are committed to addressing these challenges. Through close collaboration with the (food) processing sector, we have developed Auto-line self-cleaning liquid filters, including those with a hygienic design. Our filters are engineered in accordance with EHEDG guidelines, offering suppliers a reliable solution to enhance food safety while increasing productivity and reducing operational costs.

Energy saving and freezer doors
Efaflex is a leading manufacturer of high-speed doors that are often used in production processes.
And especially at the end of a production process of semi-finished or finished products, as an access door to the freezer cell where they are stored.
Of course, Efaflex places great emphasis on sustainability in its own production and supply chain, but above all, manufacturers can enjoy the enormous sustainability advantage for their own production when using Efaflex doors.
