VGME also welcomes FHI members to Barbara Baarsma's Real Estate College.

Real Estate College Barbara Baarsma

May 12 | 16:00 – 20:30 | Utrecht University of Applied Sciences

The real estate sector faces tough choices. How do you accelerate sustainability, keep housing construction affordable, and anchor social value in investments?

Our partner VGME, together with Hogeschool Utrecht, is organizing a real estate lecture with Barbara Baarsma. As an FHI member, you are also welcome to join.

Barbara Baarsma places these issues in a broader economic context. Her starting point: economics is not just about return on investment, but about broad prosperity within ecological limits. During this lecture, she demonstrates how economic instruments help make choices that are both financially and socially sustainable.

You will gain concrete insights that you can immediately apply in practice. And there is room for dialogue: Baarsma actively engages in conversation about what these developments mean for your work and the sector as a whole.

What can you expect?

During the lecture and the subsequent panel, three questions are central:

  • What choices and redistributions follow from this economic perspective?
  • How does this relate to practice, where developments stall due to, for example, grid congestion?
  • What does this mean for the role of the real estate sector?

Afterwards, you can continue the conversation during the networking dinner. A good moment to share experiences and make new connections.
