Webinar: Discover more about the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)

On Wednesday September 4, FHI, MKB-Nederland and Schneider Electric will organize an interactive webinar on the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The webinar provides valuable insights into this important European guideline for sustainability reporting.

Program:

Eva Eijkelenboom, (accountancy & corporate governance advisor at MKB-Nederland), explains what exactly the CSRD entails, why this guideline is so crucial and what its purpose is. In addition, Eva Eijkelenboom gives practical tips for companies to get started effectively with the CSRD.

Pim Loef, Sustainability Leader at Schneider Electric, shares how Schneider Electric is already intensively working on sustainability reporting. He also shares experiences and tips about, among other things, chain cooperation, exemptions and reporting responsibilities within a multinational.

We conclude the webinar with an extensive question round, in which you can ask all your questions. In addition, we share the plans and future activities of MKB-Nederland and would like to hear what further help and additional information you would like in the field of CSRD from FHI and MKB-Nederland.

Why participate?

Unlisted SMEs fall outside the CSRD, but will notice its effects. This happens if a company from that category is part of the value chain of a reporting company and is asked to provide information. As an SME you can anticipate this by being well informed. Make sure you are well prepared for questions and that you have insight into your own chain.

  • Learn what the CSRD entails and why this guideline is of great importance.
  • Receive practical tips to help your company get off to a good start with sustainability reporting.
  • How to check products and purchasing in your chain
  • Hear first-hand how Schneider Electric handles CSRD and benefit from their experiences.

CSRD in short

The CSRD requires companies to report on their sustainability performance based on various criteria. The guideline covers three main areas: Environment, Social, and Governance, or ESG. What exactly companies must report is detailed in the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). This includes data on carbon emissions, gender balance at the top, human resources policies, and managing supplier relationships and their impact on the supply chain.

The CSRD applies to large BVs, NVs, public interest entities, medium-sized and small listed companies and certain non-EU companies. Unlisted SMEs fall outside the CSRD, but will notice its effects.

Don't miss this opportunity to get informed about the CSRD and what it means for your company.
