Workshop Laboratory Technology for Dummies
The approach of this workshop is practical and intended to introduce various techniques used in laboratories. After a short introduction, participants will get to work in an Avans+ laboratory. During this workshop, you will learn to understand various terms, techniques and equipment of laboratory technology, so that participants will be able to play a more active role in discussions within and outside the organization in the future. During the day, participants will participate in the various components, divided into four groups of five people.

10am Clinical Chemistry Workshop
– Blood glucose determination (do you have diabetes?)
– Urine examination using a dipstick and the microscope
– Viewing blood smears under the microscope

– Staining and viewing bacteria under the microscope
– Identifying bacteria with microbiological tests

Participation
The participation fee is €350 excluding VAT and includes a certificate, coffee, tea, soft drinks, lunch and drinks. If the company where the participant works is not a member of FHI, the costs are €495 excluding VAT.
The workshop is limited to 20 participants. In case of insufficient participation, the organization reserves the right to cancel the workshop.
