The water sector is digitizing at a rapid pace. Sensors, online monitoring, data analysis, AI, and digital twins offer new opportunities to make water systems smarter, more efficient, and more reliable. But how do we make optimal use of these technologies? And what role do they play in the water sector of tomorrow? During this interactive session, the Digital Water Expert Group of Water Alliance will guide you through the developments that will shape the sector in the coming years. Using inspiring practical examples, we will demonstrate how digital technology is being deployed for real-time monitoring, process optimization, predictive maintenance, and smart decision-making.

Together with experts from the sector, we will discuss questions such as:

  • What opportunities does AI offer for water management and water technology?
  • How do we get from data to concrete action?
  • What role do digital twins and autonomous systems play?
  • What are the biggest challenges in the areas of cybersecurity, trust, and implementation?

The session offers inspiration, practical examples, and room for discussion.

The session is organized by the Digital Water Expert Group of Water Alliance. The expert group brings together companies, end-users, and knowledge institutions around the digitalization of the water sector.
