With the VEC 3R0 507 QG, Vinatech has a 500F 3V supercap in a cylindrical cell of ∅35*82mm. Due to the higher energy density, these EDLC cells are ideal for buffering energy. The application can be as a single cell, but series and/or parallel connections are also possible, but balancing is then desirable.
Buffering energy involves both capturing and releasing energy. Unlike a battery, a supercap can respond faster and release energy more frequently; the number of charge and discharge cycles is enormous, more than 500,000.
With this 3V, Vinatech has an advantage over other providers because the working area is larger. The 500F supercap has a peak current of no less than 230A. The wide operating temperature range of – 40 ~ +65℃ provides the freedom for a multitude of applications in demanding environments, including:
- Regenerative energy systems
- Backup power supplies
- Complementary start/peak support for accumulators and batteries
