Announcement: EMC Europe 2026 in Prague 

EMC Europe 2026 takes place from 31 August to 4 September 2026 in Prague, Czech Republic. The symposium is one of the most important European conferences in the field of electromagnetic compatibility and constitutes an essential networking and knowledge opportunity for professionals in the EMC sector.

In addition to traditional EMC topics such as the EM environment, shielding, filtering, and grounding, the domain of EMC management is also receiving increasing attention, with a leading role for TEMPEST.

As risk-based approaches and electromagnetic cybersecurity become more important, the conference also looks ahead to the challenges of critical systems in a world where electronics are ubiquitous.

This year, there is also a strong focus on AI and machine learning in EMC, 5G/6G, IoT, and wireless power transfer.

Symposium organization
Our own Vice-Chairman Niek Moonen is, as Chairman, jointly responsible for the organization of this symposium.

Program
The program includes technical sessions, workshops, tutorials, and an exhibition.

Two plenary speakers draw attention:

Zbynek Raida (Brno University of Technology) speaks about 'Can AI replace EMC measurements'. In this in-depth presentation, the role of numerical simulation and neural classifiers in EMC certification is discussed.

Frank Leferink (University of Twente, THALES Netherlands, IEEE Fellow) delivers a keynote titled 'EMC, an important issue'. In it, he draws lessons from the investigation into the much-discussed Stint accident.

Networks
In addition to the technical program, there is ample opportunity to network. The conference opens with a reception at the Prague Congress Centre and concludes with a gala dinner in the beautiful Smetana Hall. There is also a bowling evening for IEEE Young Professionals.

Gala sponsorship: will you participate?
The board of the EMC-ESD association has recently decided to contribute €500 to the gala dinner during this event. In doing so, we aim to raise awareness of the association and establish new contacts.
