AC-DC power supply with power factor correction delivers up to 1,512 W in a full-brick package for high-voltage distributed power configurations
TDK Corporation (TSE:6762) introduces the TDK-Lambda PF1500B-360 full-brick power module, which can deliver up to 1,512 W. The AC input power supply has a power factor of 0.98 and delivers a regulated 360 V non-isolated DC voltage. The PF1500B-360 can be used to power isolated high-voltage DC-DC modules in a distributed power configuration, or for loads that require a high-voltage DC input. Applications include semiconductor manufacturing, LED lighting, and custom power solutions using power modules.
With 170 to 265 VAC input, the PF1500B-360 delivers 1,512 W and 1,008 W when operating from 85 to 265 VAC. Its efficiency of 96.5% ensures reliable operation at baseplate temperatures up to +100 °C and ambient temperatures from -40 °C to +85 °C. The module has standard full-brick dimensions of 116.8 mm length, 61 mm width and 12.7 mm height.
The PF1500B-360 offers an auxiliary voltage of 10-16V / 10mA, remote on/off and a 'signal good' from the converter as standard. An enable function is available to activate isolated DC-DC converters to synchronize the rise times of the outputs in the event that the output voltage exceeds 360VDC. For additional output power, the possibility of parallel connection with power sharing of up to three modules is provided.
The isolation voltage from both input and output to the ground plane is 2500 VAC. The PF1500B-360 is certified to IEC/EN/CSA/UL 62368-1 standards and is CE /UKCA marked for Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS EU Directives and UK regulations. In combination with external circuitry, the PF1500B-360 complies with radiated and conducted emissions standards as well as IEC 61000-4 immunity standards.
