WoTS 2026 kicks off this year with a speaker who perfectly fits the theme of technological acceleration. AI expert, author, and trend watcher Jarno Duursma will deliver two keynotes during the exhibition week on the influence of generative AI on industrial processes, electronics development, and laboratory automation.

Duursma (1976) is considered one of the leading AI experts in the Netherlands. As an author, writer, and sought-after keynote speaker, he has appeared on national and international stages since 2011. He helps organizations understand the impact of artificial intelligence, deepfake technology, synthetic media, and digital trends.

During his keynotes at WoTS 2026, Duursma addresses a question that preoccupies many technology companies: how is AI changing the way we design, automate, and manage equipment? In doing so, he covers, among other things:

  • The impact of generative AI on business
How does AI make processes smarter, faster, and safer?.
  • The changing role of humans in an AI-driven environment
What does it mean when intelligent systems take over more and more tasks?
  • Practical applications of AI
From predictive maintenance to data-driven production and smart automation.
  • Opportunities and risks
How do you harness the power of AI without ignoring ethical and societal challenges?.

With over four hundred exhibitors, live demonstrations, activities, and an extensive content program, WoTS 2026 promises to be a vibrant edition full of innovation and networking. Jarno Duursma's keynotes on Tuesday and Thursday immediately set the tone.
