In grid systems, ensuring process continuity is crucial.

Disconnecting infrastructure is something that should be avoided at all times. By properly recognizing and monitoring errors early, it becomes possible to prevent disconnection.

On June 27, Raymond Vergouwe will give a lecture on behalf of Bender Benelux during the Power Electronics & Energy Storage event in Den Bosch.

Vergouwe tells in his reading including about:

  • The correct way to secure DC infrastructure, taking into account the security of energy storage systems;
  • The behaviour of floating grid systems in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or in hydrogen;
  • Correctly applying Insulation monitoring and recognizing the difference with isolation;
  • The technical regulations that must be taken into account when linking BESS and EV DC charging.

In addition, it invites Bender Benelux you would like to to make an insulation error yourself in a BESS application. This makes it clear in a controlled environment what consequences such errors entail.

“Because the first step to learning from a mistake is admitting you made one.”
