JUMO provides practical examples during PPA 2022

On Tuesday, May 24, 2022, JUMO will be present at the PPA event of the FHI. Our colleague Dirk Kop explains in a practical example what is involved in data acquisition in an industrial network environment. Dirk takes you from the sensor level via the OPC UA communication protocol to the cloud environment. 

Nowadays, analog sensors are still used. However, the demand for digital sensors is increasing rapidly. This has to do with the amount of data that the sensor can transfer. A digital sensor can collect much more data than an analog variant. For example, with regard to production process improvement and, not to forget, maintenance. Predictive maintenance offers you all the possibilities to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

If you then save your process data in the cloud environment, you will benefit from the many advantages of graphical display and dashboard technology. Concepts such as OPC UA and MQTT play an important role in this.
