Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence: successful theme meeting
Topics such as artificial intelligence and machine learning seem to be gaining importance within the connected industry. For example, the main theme of the Hannover Messe this year was industrial intelligence. But does everyone understand what it means? How does it work? What difference can it make in the manufacturing and process industry? On Wednesday 18 last September we had more than 25 attendees, member companies and relations of the FHI trade association for industrial automation got answers to these questions.
The afternoon was opened with a corporate presentation by VMI, market leader in the field of production of machines for manufacturing car tires. At the invitation of FHI, the Amsterdam company provided BrainCreators an introductory lecture in which they showed a platform with which AI projects can be carried out from start to finish. To keep it practical and accessible, the history and the three different levels of AI were briefly discussed, after which the spectrum of machine learning and deep learning was discussed. Finally, current practical cases of the members were discussed in detail.
The afternoon concluded with a tour of VMI's production facilities.
