Members of the FHI Medical Technology sector are working closely with the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport and other government agencies during the corona crisis. The aim is to optimize the availability of protective equipment and medical devices.

Members of the Medical Technology sector have offered help to the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport to supply face masks, ventilators, endotracheal tubes, laryngoscopes, infusion pumps, feeding pumps, suction systems, humidifiers, etc. Partly due to high demand from abroad, shortages are likely to arise. The trade association has now also actively contacted several health spokespersons from various political parties.

In addition to assistance with the supply of protective equipment and medical devices, MT members are also open to offering other assistance.

The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport has now made public an official national line for the purchase, redistribution and distribution of various scarce protective equipment and medical devices. VWS currently calls the situation dire.
