Magnetic or Mechanical tablet for dynamic calibration and periodic qualification of instruments for testing the hardness of tablets
This instrument is a tool for calibrating and qualifying the hardness range of Pharma-Test and other brand tablet hardness testers. The PT-MT3 instrument has an electronically controlled and magnetically held stainless steel “finger” and an attached measuring cell.
The PT-MT3 can be used for the entire range of Pharma-Test hardness testers, from the simplest to the most complex and from the oldest to the newest. The PT-MT3 fits into various support plates, which provide a gantry to place the PT-MT3 in the correct working position for the tester being qualified. Unlike other measuring systems for calibrating hardness testers, the PT-MT3 not only qualifies the ability of the hardness tester station to measure a certain force, but also serves as an indicator of whether the load cell is able to detect exactly when the tablet has broken and what time it took to do so. Any hardness tester, whether it is for tablets or ampoules, can be qualified in this way.
