Robot as assistant

The presence of an “assist” is particularly useful for screens of larger badges. While the robot is working and performing repetitive tasks, the person has hands and eyes free to monitor the process and ensure it runs smoothly. In addition, this also relieves the employee ergonomically. “The robot does not fit in a safety cabinet of regular size. So we went looking for a model with sufficient space,” says chief analyst Jessika Zevenhoven-Dobbe.

“We really need the workspace in the cabinet as you can see. The airflow still has enough space this way.”

Experiments with viruses

''We grow viruses here, among other things, but also test the effect of antiviral agents on these viruses. Collaborations are often processes of trial and error, which means that the throughput of numbers is sometimes high. With this cabinet we are flexible, ideal for our format of research. It is a nice solution between manual processing and full automation. This is really fundamental research that others can build on.''
