More efficient and repeatable dilution workflow

Dilugent® Shaker is designed to provide a more efficient and repeatable workflow when making dilutions, as well as 50% of time saving compared to traditional methods.
The instrument is equipped with two sensors on the sides that allow its use without physical contact. The 42 LED lights assist the operator during the dilution process by indicating which cup needs to be processed.

The process explained

Let's zoom in a little deeper the entire process:

  • Homogenize the sample first if it is solid. These are the first 1/10 dilutions.
  • Once the sample is suspended or if the sample is liquid from the start, dilute serially with Dilucup.
  • Plate 1 mL of the selected suspension(s) and incubate.
  • Count the colonies (plates should have between 30 and 300 CFUs to get a statistically valid result).
  • Divide the average number of CFUs per dilution level to get the number of microorganisms per mL or g in the original sample.Biokar is well established
