“More than a hundred exhibitors will be presenting their latest products and developments at E&A. Here you will be standing among the brightest minds in the Netherlands who will be presenting the latest innovations together, live on the exhibition floor. I guarantee that it will be a very special experience again. E&A is buzzing with creativity and innovation. This is the power of E&A. The passionate exhibitors who enthusiastically show their solutions to the world. E&A is like a candy store. But not full of candy, but full of industrial electronics.”
What makes E&A unique?
“I already touched on this above. It is the atmosphere. The enthusiasm and drive that is a combination of exhibitors and visitors. The crux is that you bring the right groups of people together. FHI has been doing this for almost 70 years. Bringing people together. Connecting. We have experience in this and this is what we work for every day.”
E&A is organized by FHI. What makes E&A a real FHI fair?
“FHI is an umbrella association that consists of four technology sectors. This is our strength. We have the ability and experience to step outside the sectors and make the connection. An important aspect of E&A is standard stand construction. All exhibitors have an almost identical stand. This keeps the costs low, but above all we radiate unity. E&A is not a bells and whistles fair, but a trade fair for industrial electronics. It is about the content, the technology, the practical solutions. And we can only achieve this by doing it together. At FHI we are convinced of this. This is our identity. And this makes E&A unique in the broad field of fairs and events.”
You have been organizing events for FHI for years. Where do you get the most energy from?
“I’m repeating myself,” laughs Petra. “But this is the enormous energy I get from a vibrant trade fair floor. The satisfaction that we have once again succeeded in connecting the right people. We, colleagues from FHI, do this together. We work with the team and the exhibitors for months on the organization of E&A. And when you walk on the trade fair floor and you are approached here and there by exhibitors and visitors; then the trade fair is a party. A very big party with 2000 guests!”
What should you really not miss on the trade fair floor?
“Too much to mention. Wander around the paths and especially cross over to LabNL: the laboratory fair that we organize simultaneously in the hall next door. This is proof that FHI looks beyond the sectors and makes the connection. We hope of course that the laboratory visitors and the visitors for E&A will dare to cross over to the other side. You can easily walk from one fair to the other.
The highlight of E&A is probably the gadget. This edition they came up with something fun again: a racing car. A printed circuit board on wheels with a motor. Very nice! I hope it won't be chaos on the trade fair floor with all those printed circuit boards racing through the aisles. Technicians, Petra laughs, they're still children."
