The company TBDx Inc wants you to be able to enjoy café quality coffee from your favorite brand at the touch of a button at home. That is why they designed an ultra-modern coffee maker, the xBloom.
When designing this product, the product engineers knew that every detail was important to make a good cup of coffee.

Brewing great coffee depends on the grind setting (18.75 um per step), temperature control, pouring style and full control over speed and volume for each pour. When this is assured, you will always drink great coffee with a very high degree of precision and flexibility.

Due to the specific product requirements and Zemic's expertise, TBDX has chosen Zemic as the supplier for the built-in smart weighing sensor. Together with the engineering department, we have designed a force sensor that fits perfectly into the xBloom design.

Which Zemic miniature sensor is used?

The custom-made miniature sensor is located in “The Dock”.
The built-in smart scale accurately weighs the amount of freshly ground coffee and water and automatically displays the golden coffee/water ratio. This is also necessary for a perfect brew. The device also has an anti-overflow detection.
Not only the shape and size are customer specific, Zemic also adds a connector to the sensor. This makes this sensor more efficient to install.
