The VLW (Association of Suppliers of Weighing Instrumentation) is an association with a specific focus on advice and knowledge sharing within the field of weighing instruments and related technologies.
The goal of VLW
The goal of VLW is to bring its members into contact with important stakeholders around important legislation and regulations in weighing technology, and to keep members informed of important market developments and trends. This positions a company as a serious and reliable player in the weighing industry, which can contribute to growth, innovation and an improved market position.
Composition of the membership
The VLW unites manufacturers, suppliers, service providers and government agencies, specifically in the field of weighing equipment and weighing systems. The members of the VLW have weighing and measuring technology as a common denominator, but supply their products and services to sectors such as the food industry, logistics and transport, pharmaceutical industry, laboratories, retail and the chemical industry.
Meetings
Twice a year the VLW organises a meeting. This consultation always consists of two parts. A general members meeting, in which all members are updated on developments in the sector, projects and activities of the VLW, an update on board matters and the finances of the VLW.
During this meeting, important information is also shared from international organisations such as WELMEC, OIML and CECIP. This is followed by a meeting with the Ministry of Economic Affairs, RDI (enforcement body) and NMi (certification body).
