Luminaires are becoming increasingly smarter
The world is becoming increasingly 'smarter'. New technologies and smart automation offer endless new possibilities. The lighting industry is also not standing still. Developments follow each other at a rapid pace and smart lighting has now become an umbrella term. The lighting market is evolving very quickly.
At the moment 80% of the newly installed luminaires is LED. The next steps are to minimize the design of the luminaire and make it smarter. Two evolutions that place new demands on the electronics. David Wainowski of Tridonic (on behalf of Elpro BV) will show in his lecture the evolution from the start of LED to the latest developments in electronics (driver and communication) for shop lighting and office lighting.
Patrick van der Meulen from Xicato (on behalf of Luxendi) is familiar with solving challenges in lighting. In his talk he will discuss their latest solution; reducing the complexity of controls. This is done with open standard Bluetooth wireless control products that provide hassle-free and economical lighting control, without compromising on power or performance.
