Always offers the housing the right protection
The use of electronic devices is increasing, as is exposure to all kinds of frequencies. Radiation and immunity must be taken into account in the design of new products early in the development phase. Often entire housings and cables also need to be shielded for this.
Shields are mainly used on housings and cables to shield internal signals from external influences (or vice versa). Today's enclosure shields are highly conductive, meeting the demand for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of electronic devices. But does the housing always provide the right protection?
Jan Eriksson from Detectus AB has been invited by CN Rood to give a lecture about this. He shows you how electromagnetic fields from electronic devices can behave in shielded boxes and even leak out, if you are not aware of the problem.
