Machine builders, automation and robot manufacturers need compact, space-saving interfaces for their modular and high-precision designs. HARTING has developed the Han® Q Hybrid for connecting motors, actuators and sensors in the medium-power range – and will present this new development to the professional public at SPS 2022. The miniaturized interface enables a safe and interference-free supply of components with power, data and signals. Application areas include mechanical engineering, automation and robotics, as well as transport and energy infrastructure. 

The Han® Q Hybrid is compatible with all Han® 3 A housings – a very compact and versatile standard. The combination of Han Q Hybrid and Han® 3 A including U-clip takes up less space than comparable round connectors and at the same time offers high mechanical protection. Users have the choice between plastic and metal housings – and they can also fall back on special housings for outdoor use (high-pressure railway) or EMC-protected transmission, for example.

In addition, the Han® Q Hybrid offers encryption capabilities. The coding pin and socket can occupy four different coding positions (A, B, C, D) in the openings of the insulation housing provided for the data modules. Given the voltage and power limits of the Han E® and D® contacts, the Q Hybrid is optimally suited for connecting motors, actuators and sensors. The signal contacts are available for additional functions such as temperature measurement or brake control.
