The Isotech 4000 series Dry Blocks and Multi-Function Calibrators have recently been renewed. The portable units are suitable for use at various measuring locations or in the calibration lab. Temperature baths are indispensable for temperature metrology.
To calibrate SPRTs, thermocouples and other temperature sensors, a temperature source is required, such as a liquid bath, a fixed point cell, a blackbody, a temperature oven, a dry block or a specific surface source. Then, using this heat source and a reference thermometer, a calibration can be performed. The Unit Under Test (UUT) to be measured is compared to the reference meter, by comparing both in the same source.
It is important that this source has a uniform distribution, both horizontally and vertically, and to perform an accurate measurement, also an excellent short term stability. Isotech supplies baths for both the primary lab and secondary lab and also for on-site calibrations.
The unique thing about an Isocal-6 calibration system is that the function changes by using different inserts. As standard, we use a metal insert (dry block calibrator), but there is also a liquid bath insert, a blackbody insert for infrared thermometers, an insert for surface sensors or an insert for ITS-90 fixed points. This gives you a multifunctional temperature calibrator for all your temperature sensors.
Traceable calibration certificates are supplied as standard with the 4000 series. If required, the stand can be supplied with an optional UKAS accredited certificate. A transport case and calibration software for controlling the 4000 series calibrators and reading out the UUT and reference sensor (advanced series) are optional.
