Perfect LED lighting requires control over beams and color uniformity. This is where secondary optics such as lenses and reflectors become crucial. However, the Saturn ring effect, a yellow rim around the beam, can be a challenge, especially when using narrow beam angles in combination with a lens. Color shifting can cause light to follow different paths, resulting in visible variations in color intensity and color temperature

Citizen has addressed this with the Falcon COB. Due to its unique structure, it eliminates the uneven light distribution and the unwanted yellow ring at the edges of the light beam and offers consistent chromaticity, even without special lenses.

Citizen offers 30 versions in three models:

  • 13.5×13.5mm
  • 19.0×19.0mm
  • 28.0×28.0mm

These are available in 2700, 3000 and 4000K with various LES diameters of 4.2mm, 6.0mm, 8.5mm, 11mm and 13mm. The available color rendering is minimum Ra90 or typical Ra97.
