What is the range, how long is the lifespan and what happens to them in an accident? The most important questions that need to be answered for electric cars concern the battery. As a central component of electric vehicles, it must be absolutely safe, reliable and powerful. Our lithium-ion battery testing technology helps car manufacturers and suppliers to meet these requirements.

Pioneers in battery testing
For more than 12 years, we have been developing, producing and optimising systems for testing electrical energy storage systems. This means that we have a lot of experience and proven technical solutions to safely test batteries under all thermal, climatic and mechanical loads. These solutions include test cabinets, chambers and systems for performance and ageing tests, climate and environmental simulation tests, vibration tests and tests in accordance with the automotive test standard LV 124 and other relevant standards.

Hazard level and ATEX guidelines under control
During tests with lithium-ion batteries, overload and malfunctions can occur due to their high energy density. In extreme cases, this can lead to overheating – destruction of the entire battery. In order to minimize the risks to personnel, test technology and buildings, we have developed a special modular system at hazard level and offer safe solutions that guarantee the required explosion protection in accordance with ATEX guidelines.

Customized advice for optimal test conditions
Whether start-ups, automotive groups or test service providers: We support all our customers from needs analysis through planning and production of the test systems to after-sales service. Our test technology experts provide all-round support in matters relating to the safety concept, test standards, building planning, test capacities and process optimisation. With this work, we help to make the mobility of the future safer.
